MacBook vs MacBook Pro

I am about to take the plunge into the apple laptop world. I have been studying the differences between the MacBook and the Pro for about a month now. While I understand the differences in price, processor, storage, etc, I am most interested in the impact given different usage profiles.
I am prosumer photographer, I use the internet and Adobe CS3 heavily. I want to expand into some movie editing.
Does the MacBook have enough juice to cover my use?

Looks like Apple put out a few patches for it's new machines. Maybe this will address all of the Kernal attacks everyone has been complaining about!
Apple has released a software update for the recently-introduced line

the company's iPhone have turned up on the Apple.com website.

Is this supply problem that bad or is Apple having a serious quality problem. Seems views are pretty mixed.

With the iPhone launch behind us and the Leopard release still ahead of us and the Summer of UpdatedLaptops continuing apace, it’s time to consider the next product Apple has tucked up its ever mysterious sleeve. Barring the unveiling of some-as-of-yet covert offering—Buttonless iPods! iCar! A set-top box that not only plays your Mac-based media on a TV but deletes movies, TV shows and music that it finds banal and beneath you!—I think the next item on Apple’s agenda should be a pair of software suites that haven’t seen an update since the halcyon days of early 2006.

MacBook Pro adapter shrinks
in MacBook / MacBook Pro , by Mike M. (GroupSwim) July 23 2007. Tagged macbookpro
Finally! They shrunk this thing down to the size of the macbook power brick..
Where the old adapter (MA357LL) was one of the Mac maker's largest portable adapters yet upon its release in early 2006, the new 85-watt model -- MA938LL/A -- is no bigger than the 65W unit that charges the smaller 13.3-inch system. New shipping MacBook Pros also
Ultra-thin and ulra-light notebook coming before the end of the year - sources
in MacBook / MacBook Pro , last reply by Mike M. (GroupSwim) at July 11 2007. Tagged apple macbook macbookpro
Trusted sources informed MacScoop that Apple is headed towards the release of a notebook that is so small and light that it could redefine the standards of ultra-portable computing.
The new notebook is likely to complete the MacBook Pro line-up with a smaller version featuring a 12 inch display — a form factor that was formerly used on the PowerBooks' entry-level but was discontinued when the line-up made the switch to the Intel architecture in 2006.
Compared to the original 12 inch PowerBook, which is Apple's smallest notebook released so far, the new notebook is said to be half as thick, or something between 0.6 and 0.7 inch (15 to 18 millimetres). It will also be, by far, the lightest computer Apple ever released, or less than 3 pounds (<1.36Kg), sources told MacScoop.
